Lagan Construction Group recently sponsored a local Belfast cycling club, VC Glendale the sum of £500. The monies will be used towards their youth development division which takes boys and girls from across different community sectors and teaches them Mountain Bike Skills through the Cycle Ireland Sprocket Rocket programme.
VC Glendale now have 30 registered children aged between 3 -12 years old, known as the ‘Glendale Imps’. VC Glendale are planning their first ever Skills Camp Weekend in Newcastle Co. Down in late November 2013. With an Ulster and Irish Champion already crowned in the 2013 Cycling Calendar, we envisage big things ahead for the ‘Imps’ and we wish them every success.
