Lagan MEICA take part in Northern Ireland Net Zero Exchange to Malaysia and Singapore

Lagan MEICA, with 40 strong Invest NI Net zero trade delegation to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore in March 2024.

Lagan MEICA visited Malaysia and Singapore to demonstrate their expertise, offerings and establish relationships with key in-market stakeholders. The goal was to foster connections and form partnerships between Northern Ireland, Malaysia and Singapore in the field of net zero technologies, particularly focusing on sustainable water management, decarbonisation, hydrogen and alternative fuels.

During the five-day visit, the group presented Northern Ireland's expertise in net zero technologies, engaged in knowledge sharing with local counterparts, and sought potential R&D collaborations, investment and trade prospects.

Neil and Kieran, pictured left, visited Petronas Leadership Centre as well as their Innovation and Research Centre to see their progress on electrolyser development and strengthen links between the NI Industry and Queens university, who are advising Petronas and have research projects in Belfast at Queens.

The team also visited Greensun, another electrolyser manufacturer in Singapore.
