The Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure Team accept Runway 07-25 from the RAF at Northolt. The Runway was handed over by Wing Commander Simon Firth and Squadron Leader Andrew Edgecombe to mark to start of the Runway Rehabilitation and Arrestor beds Project.
The project involves the resurfacing of the runway with 33,000t of Marshal Asphalt, the installation of two new green EMAS Arrestor Beds, upgrade of AGL to LED and the refurbishment of drainage systems.
The project will be carried out over the next 6 months, with operations planned to resume at Northolt in Autumn 2019.
